Driving school website design for your driving school
Sixteen- and seventeen-year-olds look for their first driving school on their phone, often with a parent who pays part of the cost looking over their shoulder. They put a few driving schools side by side: price per lesson, reviews, and whether they can book a trial lesson right away. Your site has to show those three things at that moment.

Where your sign-ups come from
How many sign-ups your site brings in depends on two things: how many students end up on your site, and what share of them actually book a trial lesson or send a text. That second part is called conversion. If you work on both, the number of sign-ups grows fastest.
If you rank at the top for driving school plus your town, but a student searches your site in vain for the price per lesson, they click back to the next driving school in Google. Your site lifts the conversion, my own Vizibly System the number of visitors.
A driving school site that inspires trust also attracts the student who takes a whole package right away and reliably shows up for their lessons.
How you count sign-ups
What a driving school site must do
These are the parts that tip the balance when a student is torn between your driving school and the one in the next tab. The basics come standard in your site; you choose which extra parts you want in the kickoff call.
Price per lesson and packages on the site
A student compares on price before looking at anything else. Put your packages and your single-lesson price on the site, and nobody has to call to find out where they stand, and you attract the student who fits your rate.
The trial lesson as the first button
A new student usually starts with a trial lesson. Make that the easiest button on your site: the student picks a moment and leaves their name and number. Nothing more is needed, you ask the rest during that first lesson.
Reviews from students who passed
Driving lessons cost a good amount of money, and a student will be sitting in the car with you for hours. Reviews from students who passed, next to your packages, show the student and the parent reading along how others got on with you.
Automatic or manual at the top of the page
One student insists on automatic, the next on manual. Put at the top of your driving school site which cars you teach in, so nobody has to click through your pages for that.
A page of its own for motorcycle, scooter and theory
If you offer more than car lessons, each category gets its own page. Anyone searching for a scooter license or a theory course lands on the right page right away and does not have to scroll through a general page of services.
CBR explainer in a fixed place
Intermediate test, practical exam, exam for students with test anxiety: you keep getting the same questions about the CBR (the Dutch driving test authority). Put that explanation in a place of its own on your site, and you do not have to repeat it over the phone every week.
Pay in installments on your packages
For most students, a driver’s license is the biggest expense they have had so far. If you offer installments, put that with your packages. Then the student and the parent who helps pay do not have to ask about it first.
Texting instead of calling
Many seventeen-year-old students would rather send a text than call. A WhatsApp button that opens right away makes it easy to ask that first question.
Your teaching area with town names
Put on your site where you teach, whether you pick students up at school or the station, and in which town your students take their exam. Then a student knows that up front, and those town names help Google show you to anyone who searches for a driving school plus their hometown.
Rijloket shows what students look at
I do not have to guess what matters to a student. I built a driving school comparison platform myself, Rijloket, with more than 8,000 pages about driving schools. There I see what students and parents click on and where they drop off: the price per lesson, the packages, the reviews, automatic or manual, and how easy booking a trial lesson is.
I build that insight into your driving school site. Every question gets an answer in the place where it comes up, so a student does not have to fill in a contact form to find out what a package costs with you.
It also saves you time in the kickoff call. I do not have to ask how this market works, so the conversation goes straight to your driving school: your teaching area, your packages and the kind of student you want more of.

Rijloket, my own comparison site for driving schools.
See for yourself what I built
Rijloket is my own project, so I can try out a new button or a different way of showing prices there first. What works with students there, I bring to the site of your driving school.
The site next to it I built for a client from another trade: a multilingual platform for physical therapists. The same requirements applied to that site as to your driving school site: fast on the phone and built around one clear action.
What I take care of for your driving school website
With many web agencies you write the copy yourself and pay for the design separately. With me, your brand, the design, the copy, the imagery and the technology are all in the price as standard, down to the pages for your types of lessons and your towns. Vizibly is me, so you deal with one person, even after launch.
Your brand
I start with who your clients are and why they choose you. From that follow your tone, your colors and your typefaces.
Tech and ownership
Your domain is in your name and you can always take the code with you. Once the build is paid, the site is yours.
Design
You get your own clean design that fits your brand, built to the accessibility guidelines.
Copy
You supply the facts, I write pages that match what your clients search for in Google.
Imagery
Photos of your work you supply yourself. If you do not have them yet, I start with professional AI imagery at no extra cost.
Findability
I build your site so that Google and AI tools can read it well. If you already have a site, I redirect your old addresses.
Also included
- A contact form with a spam filter that works. At delivery I test it with a real submission, and you get that proof from me.
- I set up Google Analytics and Search Console on accounts in your name, so you can see how people find your site and you always keep that measurement history.
After launch
You can leave hosting and maintenance to me for €50 a month, and that comes with your own dashboard. If your site goes down, I get an alert automatically. If anything does not work as agreed in the first thirty days, I fix it at no cost.
Optional extras
If you do not have a logo yet, I design that too. A second language or a system where you publish yourself can be added as well, and you hear the price up front.
Your new driving school site in eight steps
At three moments I show you where your site stands and ask for your sign-off, the first time before I build anything. Each moment comes with one round of adjustments. The trial lesson button is already in the style proof, at the top of your homepage. On average your site is live 2 to 3 weeks after the kickoff call.

Easier to find after launch
Even after launch, plenty changes in your town. Next month someone searches a little differently, another driving school opens around the corner, or a student asks an AI which driving school nearby is good.
That is what my own Vizibly System is for. If you choose it, the system measures every month what students and search engines do on your site, finds out where your sign-ups slip away and improves your site based on that. That is called the loop. In your dashboard you see what changed on your site that month and how you stand in Google.

Book a trial lesson in two taps
A student who has just decided to start wants to arrange it right away, on their phone. A form with ten fields or a number they have to call is then often reason enough to put it off.
That is why I build the trial lesson as the shortest route on your whole site: the student picks a moment and leaves their name and number. Anyone who would rather text taps the WhatsApp button, and then you have the conversation already.
Example of the trial lesson button on a phone.
Students search for driving school plus their town
Most students start on Google and add their own town. A seventeen-year-old from Utrecht searches for ‘rijschool Utrecht’ (driving school Utrecht). If you are not among the first results, they will not see you, however sharp your site is.
That is what I build your site around: separate pages per town and per type of lesson, fast loading and your reviews visible on the page. AI tools like ChatGPT read those pages too, so I lay out your teaching area, your prices and your types of lessons so that such a tool can pick them up well.
Next to your site sits your Google Business Profile: the map with businesses that appears at the top as soon as someone types driving school plus a town name. You claim that profile for free with your own Google account. Fill it in completely afterward, and put your name, address and phone number there exactly as they appear on your site. Also ask students who passed for a review, because the number of reviews and your score count toward your spot in that box, according to Google itself. I make sure your site shows the same details as your profile. You fill in the rest yourself, and how that works is explained in my explanation of local findability. If you want to keep working on that month after month, you put my own Vizibly System on it.
HOW VIZIBLY SYSTEM WORKSWhat a driving school website costs
A website for your driving school starts at €2,000, one-off. Three things decide where you end up: how many pages you want for your types of lessons and your towns, who supplies the copy and the photos, and whether extra functionality gets added, such as a trial lesson scheduler or an intake the student fills in themselves.

Maintenance plan
From €50 / month
I take care of hosting, updates, small changes and monitoring for you. The first month is free.
Vizibly System
From €800 / month
Vizibly System measures every month how your site is doing and improves it based on what it sees. See Vizibly System.
Before I start designing, I put on paper how your driving school wants to come across: clean and structured, or calm and patient for students who find it nerve-racking. That choice decides your colors, your photos and the tone of your copy. That branding is the first step of every project and is included in the price. A separate article explains what branding really is and why it is more than a logo. If you want to see what I build for other trades, take a look at all the websites I make. That includes a website for a hair salon, just as local and appointment-driven as a driving school.
