The website checker looks at five categories of your page, and each one gets a score from 0 to 100 and a grade from A to F. A red score, below 50, is the one to tackle first. Green means it's fine.

The check usually takes 20 to 40 seconds, because speed is measured live. After that, you see for each category how your page is doing and why each item matters.

The website checker checks one page of your site across five categories: SEO, Speed, Security, Technical and Accessibility. Each category gets a score from 0 to 100 and a grade from A to F, so you can see at a glance which one needs attention.

Yes. You enter a URL and see your score right away. You don't need an account and it costs nothing. You can run three scans a day. If you want to know how to fix the issues, I'll email you the full report, also for free.

Usually 20 to 40 seconds. Speed is measured live, and that takes a moment. The other checks are done almost instantly.

The overall score combines the five categories, and SEO and speed count the most. If your page is missing something basic, such as a secure connection (https), a page title, a main heading or a layout that fits a phone, or if it has almost no text, the score can't go above a C. A (90-100) is excellent, B (75-89) good, C (50-74) needs improvement, D (25-49) is poor and F (0-24) is critical. If your score is low, start with the red items.

No, only the URL you enter. Each page can score differently. For a complete picture, check your most important pages one by one, such as your homepage, a service page and a blog post.

SEO (title, description) and technical items (language setting, viewport) are often things you can change yourself. Speed and accessibility usually call for a web developer. If you want to go deeper into SEO, use the SEO checker, and for speed alone, the website speed test.
