WEBSITE PROJECT
Faalangst Rijschool
A website for a driving school in Alkmaar, the Netherlands, that coaches people with test anxiety and fear of driving. The colors are calm, and a short anxiety test lets visitors take a first step without feeling pressured.

THE BRIEF
A website that puts people at ease
Faalangst Rijschool helps people with test anxiety and fear of driving get their driver's license. The people it serves are vulnerable and often unsure of themselves, and that puts special demands on how the website comes across.
Above all, the site had to reassure: visitors should feel understood before they even get in touch. That's why the tone is calm, with soft colors and copy that doesn't push a sale. It's a different approach from most websites for driving schools, where pass rates and fast-track packages take center stage.
The old website was badly outdated, and its look didn't match the care and attention the driving school offers.
THE APPROACH
How the site is built
Olive green and cream
The base is olive green with cream, chosen because those colors feel calm. The accents are kept soft too, so nothing on the page shouts for attention.
An anxiety test as the first step
Visitors take a short self-test and get personal advice right away. For people in this situation, getting in touch feels like a big step, and answering a few questions is a much smaller one. That way, the test also brings in inquiries for the driving school.
Built for phones
People in this group often search on their phone. That's why everything was designed for a small screen first, and the pages load fast.
Easy for Google to read
The site is technically sound and has structured data: a bit of code that tells Google what the driving school offers. That helps Google match the pages to searches about test anxiety and fear of driving.
