OUTSOURCE SEO
Outsource SEO: what it costs and what you get in return
You want to be easier to find, but your week has no hours left for keywords, technical setup and copy. Below you’ll read what it costs to outsource SEO to a freelancer or agency, and when it’s a smart move and when it isn’t. I work with my own Vizibly System, from €800 a month and month to month.

What does it cost to outsource SEO?
Most comparisons start with the price, so I will too. Outsourcing SEO almost always goes through an hourly rate or a monthly amount, and the differences between providers are big. What you pay depends mostly on how many hours go into your site.
Freelancers:
- Starting out: a few dozen euros an hour
- Experienced: close to a hundred euros an hour
- Top specialists: well above that
SEO agencies:
- Entry-level plans: a few hundred euros a month
- Extensive plans: often thousands of euros a month
- Often with an account manager between you and the work
With Vizibly, outsourcing SEO runs through my own Vizibly System, from €800 a month. There’s no account manager in between: the system does the analysis work, and I make the choices and the changes to your site myself. All the plans are on the pricing page.
What do you get for that money?
Good SEO is ongoing work on your site itself, month after month. If you outsource it well, you can expect this:
- Analysis of your own numbers: which pages get more clicks, which stand still, and why
- Improvements that go live right away: copy that matches better with what people search for, and a site that loads faster and links more logically to your most important pages
- Work outside your own site: mentions and links on other sites, because Google counts who points to you
- Numbers you can check yourself: clicks and impressions from Google Search Console, so you see what the work brings in
When outsourcing SEO pays off, and when it doesn’t
For plenty of businesses, outsourcing SEO isn’t the best step. After seven years in this trade, I draw the line roughly like this:
Outsourcing fits if:
- You’re a small to mid-sized business without your own marketing team
- You’d rather put your hours into your own trade than into keywords and technical setup
- You want specialist knowledge without hiring someone
- You don’t want to be tied to an annual contract
Doing it yourself or hiring someone is better if:
- SEO is your core business and you make new content every day
- Your company is big enough to give its own SEO specialist full-time work
- Your offering or site is still changing so much that everything gets overhauled every month. Settle that first, and only then does ongoing SEO work make sense
What to look for before you sign
SEO has good specialists and slick salespeople, and on a quote they often look the same. These four points help you tell them apart:
- Guarantees of position 1: Google decides the order in Google itself, so nobody can deliver on a guarantee like that
- Annual contracts up front: then you’re tied for twelve months before you know whether it works. Ask whether it can be month to month
- Reports with only rankings: a nice position nobody clicks on brings you nothing. Ask about clicks and inquiries
- Bought link packages: a hundred links for a fixed price sounds like a deal, but they’re almost always worthless or risky links
How outsourcing SEO works at Vizibly
The same round runs every month. The system measures what visitors and Google do on your site and works out where you’re leaving opportunities on the table. Based on that, I choose what changes, and I apply it to your site myself. Then the system measures again whether it worked. That way it gets smarter about your site every round, and in your own dashboard you see what happened.
The same approach runs on my own sites. They’re online under their own names, so you can look at them yourself:
- 105 → 2,883 clicks a month from January to August 2026 (Koffienoob)
- 93,535 impressions in Google in August 2026 (Koffienoob)
What can you expect, and when?
You usually see the first movement after three to six months, solid growth after six to twelve. Those timelines apply to me just as much as to anyone else. If someone promises you results faster, ask how they think they’ll do it.
What I do guarantee is the way of working: measure, improve and show what it did, every month. That’s why everything is month to month.
Still not sure whether outsourcing SEO is for you? Get in touch for a no-obligation call. I’ll look at your site and your market and tell you what I would do, even if that is: hold off on outsourcing for now.
